Welcome to Mynydd Parys Classroom!

Reading books: Your child will receive reading books to practice in class and at home. It would be appreciated if you can listen and discuss the books with your child. You can record on Seesaw.

There are links on Google Classroom to websites that provide online reading books to read or listen to stories. Your child also has access to online reading programmes; 'Reading Eggs' and 'Giglets'. All login details are on your child's profile on Seesaw.

Homework: We will occasionally set and share homework. The task will be set on Friday through Google Classroom. We kindly ask for you to help and encourage your child to complete the task. Every effort should be made to complete it by the following Wednesday.

Our theme: 'Me and my imagination'.

'Me and my imagination' is the title of our theme this season. We will have the opportunity to learn names and label our skeleton. Our life cycle as people as well as the life cycle of animals and creatures. During the theme we will visit Nant y Pandy.
The children have input and a voice in our planning.

We will practice our mental accounting skills, exercises of the four rules with an opportunity to reinforce the skills in our work if that is possible.
The learners can develop their linguistic skills in Welsh and English through various oral, reading and writing tasks.

We encourage our learners to keep the body healthy; both physically and mentally. They receive fitness lessons, PHSE sessions and Growth Mindset lessons.
