19.03.20 Anglesey County Council Message

As you will be aware, schools will have a key role in supporting those most in need, including people involved in the immediate response to the coronavirus outbreak.

The Isle of Anglesey County Council is working with Welsh Government in drawing up plans at a local level on how to achieve this. A key part of the planning involves identifying school pupils who have parents employed in the following sectors:

  • National Health Service
  • Armed forces
  • Teachers and childcare staff
  • Care home workers
  • Social workers
  • Police officers, community support, civilian staff
  • Prison officer or other probation staff
  • Firefighters
  • Local authority planners
  • Environmental health officers
  • Highway Agency traffic officers

As a mater of urgency, if you work in any of the above sectors please notify the school by contacting the school no later than 2.00pm today (please incldue your child’s name and date of birth).

13.02.2020 - Ymweliad Comisiynydd yr Iaith Gymraeg

Mr Aled Roberts, the Commissioner for the Welsh Language, visited the school recently. He had a discussion about the use of the Welsh language in Llangefni, and was very impressed with Year 6 Carrog's contribution. Enjoy the video which was filmed especially for the occasion.
